Looking at taking Roo to do some form of Flyball!

Anyone else do it? And if so did your dog pick it up easy enough? Roo is a clever dog in comparison to Harvey, who I genuinely think is a bit dim!

I'v been involved with a competitive Flyball team for 6yrs and love it:)

If your dog has a good recall and a great love of tennis balls then you'll be fine:D Once you start flyball you will be hooked for life lol

Have a look at the British flyball association website (BFA for short) they will give you a list of teams in your area to contact:)

Flyballs all about having fun with your dog :)

On the same topic, does anyone have one of the flyball things from P@H?

From what I've seen flyball is a tennis ball fetching relay - is this right?

Oh poor Harvey. My friend said today that Kenzie is a bit of a Space Cadet!

Doodles is a full blown astronaught.

He ran into the patio the other day...then did it again 5 seconds after.

When the Pet in home box came out there was an up-raw as they are so dangerous so no i would not even waste your money :D yep flyball is a relay race with 4 dogs, 4 jumps and a flyball box.

Horse and hound i wouldn't write of flyball because of this, we have many a newbie with the same problem and its an easy fix by having a toy or treat thats higher in value than the ball or another ball :) You could do some work at home with him on lead by rolling the ball on the ground letting him get it calling his name while moving backwards while showing him a treat when he drops the ball give him the treat but on lead so he can't run off with the ball, if that makes sense.:)

I haven't got any flyball near me- I could buy something for the garden but and I'm not being rude:p but Molly is tennis ball mad, I think she'd love it but do you as an owner get bored- by doing the same thing? I've never seen it in the flesh so I always wondered?:)

Thanks for that. Perhaps its not for me then on my own, that sounds selfish , my friends have all got dogs but they wouldn't be interested. I can get to agility though later in the year. Sounds like you have fun:)
