Today is critical..We are on amber alert.

Here in the Netherlands we are under sea level but in my area that threat is being heightened by the storm ..The strong winds are pushing the water onto the coast the lakes and river are filling up and the normal drainage into the sea isnt possible .
The dykes are being strengthend with sand bags and people are out keeping watch ..One area in Groningen has already been evacuated 15 farms are threatened and the animals are being moved to safe ground.

I have my emergancy kit ready just in case,, but I have to work this morning , only locally luckily and only til 12, but if I hear the sirens I will be home like a shot packing the dogs into the car and heading inland as quick as possible!

    Fingers crossed its not necessary..
