8m is the longest I have been able to find. I got mine from the pet shop here in Cyprus so can't help out with pet shops in the UK

Why would you want your dog more than 8 metres away from you on a lead?

I'm not a fan of the flexi lead tbh. The dog's either on a short lead under proper control or off the lead with a reliable recall.

What did you do whilst your dog was learning recall?

Have you considered a lunge rein that can be allowed to lay on the ground?

I know she's small so a lunge rein might be heavy? What about connecting a few house lines togather I did that when Dixie was wee :) Then we progressed to a washing line (one of the plastic coated ones) which was much better! Tho it did get really muddy in the wet.

I've used a long line to train recall but I don't like to walk dogs on it because of rope burn if the dog bolts.

I've had bad experience of flexi leads - the 'lock' can be unreliable or too easily disengaged allowing the dog to get away at an inopportune moment and the cords are too thin and can bind quite tightly when the dog gets in a tangle.

well we walk Kya on a flex sometimes and she is very much undercontrol when on the flexi we have trained her manner on it so we have no probs with her on it

I have Bear on a Flexi (Giant) and he's fine with it. The problem is they're only rated to 75kg and we're getting there now.

    Must be all the ribs!!!
