It's been a discussion recently on facebook and I was actually quite shocked at the amount of songs people actually share as their wedding song.

My wedding song was Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden and chose it because it was the song that was playing when we first met. I remember the song well as it was repeatedly on play in our friends car and 6 years later it became our wedding song.

    So what was yours?

    B*gger I voted wrong! Lol
My brain isn't working this morning :(

I had The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by the Stereophonics.

I did want a muse song but got talked out of it lol, my Nanna suggested The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face but the old fashioned version . I compromised with the Stereophonics version :D

Hubby wanted perfect day by Iggy Pop!! I had to put my foot down and say no way are we dancing to a song about heroin on on wedding day

It was supposed to be a Meatloaf song but our ******** DJ who had too many whiskies by then put on Love is all around by Wet Wet Wet. I hate that song.:(

The Bryan Adams song that was in the film Robin Hood was a very popular one.

    Let's see...

I know it wasn't one of the songs mentioned in the poll, but let's see if I was sober and sane enough to remember.

Ah, my wife and I actually had three songs that come to mind. One was an old, classic rock song called "Cherish" by The Association; another one was a really, really old song by Nat King Cole called "When I Fall In Love"; however, the song we actually danced to after saying "I do's", or in my case, "Yes Dear" was "Behind Closed Doors" by Charlie Rich. (I think someone was telling us to keep something "between the sheets", if you know what I mean. ;) )

I voted other as we had Lady in Red.
We had planned to have Everything I Do, but the DJ didn't have that one  and wanted us to dance our first dance to Macy Gray's I Try  which I refused so we had to come up with a song very quickly and choose Lady in Red as it is my Mum's favourite.
I always tell people when they are getting married to choose their song and take it with them as it is my biggest disappointment of the day.
The good thing is when ever I hear our song it does transport me back to our wedding day.

We had Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran.

We will have been married a whole year next sunday - and I'm on a training day all day that if I miss I have to start the whole 'death-by-powerpoint' 7 day boring course again so I won't be absent... so to compensate I booked the whole week off work the following week :D

We hated the first dance -neither of us are dancers - and it was just this awkward shuffle... we wish we hadn't done it, or got the DJ to fade it out after a minute or so for the guests to get pictures.

We didn't have one - we didn't have a disco either - we wanted to get away from what was expected and do our own thing. No seating plan, no speeches, no ushers, no menu, no disco, all incredibly informal, etc

Our first dance was to "I want to spend my lifetime loving you" which is from the film Mask of Zorro.

No-one else I know has ever used that song, but I think it's lovely :D

I didn't really enjoy the first dance either. We too are not dancers and didn't really like all the attention on us. Although I've been to some weddings and thought. 'they really should of had some dance lessons for that song' :D
