Does anyone know of a company who custom make fire guards? I searched on line last winter but couldn't find a thing. We have what seems to be a bit of an odd sized opening (though not large) in the chimney breast which houses a recessed wood burning stove - our only form of heating so not having it lit in the winter is out of the question. No standard size fire guard will fit it and neither will the long, old fashioned 'box' type ones because they're too wide.

We either had to keep kittens/cats shut out of the lounge last winter, which they objected to, or not light the fire... and sit and freeze!

    Thanks :)
