My 13.5 year old cat was diagnosed with kidney disease a few months ago. His blood results are:
    • BUN 94.2 nmol/L
    • Creatinine 975.0 nmol/L
    • Inorganic Phos 3.56 nmol/L
I presume this is end stage?? Do these bloods need redone if he was dehydrated and not eating at the time of blood taken?
He was on a drip to flush the toxins about 7 weeks ago, which he didn't really bounce back from. He has now been having weekly/fortnightly steroid injections - when he stops eating. He may have mouth and stomach ulcers. He is still pottering about a little and eating (but not huge amounts and really needs encouraged).
He is on Frusemide and Cardalys for a heart murmur.
I would like to know an estimate of how long he has left?
PS I am giving him twice daily drops of Kidney Support Gold - Cat Kidney Disease Support.
