I love going out late at night in the rain with our dogs :)

We just had a fab walk, both dogs offlead, not a person or another dog in sight, absolutely wonderful! :)

Dogs totally relaxed and had a fab time,we saw two foxes before our dogs did and recalled them, both spot on. :)

So when is your favourite time to walk your dogs ?

  2. Between eight and nine in the evening - did it last night - but it was raining too much her tonight so they only got a quick one!

    I love walking at Dusk/sunset.
Most people have gone home by then and I can walk along the beach with out worrying about people and their picnics as Zipper would just jump straight into the middle and scoff the lot ;)

I like to walk mine early in the morning and late in the evening when no one else seems to be about. I find they get a better play and run about because I'm not constantly having to re call and lead them. I do always keep a good watch out just incase tho. ;) they get a lead walk at dinner so they get to meet other dogs about too. :)

I walk mine at about 6am before work. Theres no one around so its lovely, very relaxing. Just a nice walk around the houses at that time. Then in the evening i take them out at about 9pm over to the park behind my house. I dont go any earlier as its full of kids then (there is a play area and basketball court one end) but at 9pm onwards it just has us dog walkers so my lot get to play and socialise :D

First thing in the morning - 6 ish - and at dusk/sunset are my favourite times :) I find in incredibly peaceful then! I'm going to have to start walking Pippa at different times once she can go out so she can socialise more!

Between 5.30/6am as it's peaceful, and it sets me up for the day! I take Archie up the park for socialising and other places later in the day. :)

In the winter i do go out later though.

i don't have a choice - i am on shift work so my dogs dont have a set time. Right now i take them out right after i get in from work which is around 7 o clock and next week will be the same. I don't have time to take them out early in the morning and don't wake up any earlier. My body is already screwed with working different shifts lol!

If i am on a late i take them out around 8/8:30 which leaves me enough time to get ready for work after.

And if i'm on earlies they get to go out after 5.

But when would i PREFER to take them out? When its not raining and when i'm not working and when there are barely any dog walkers around!

It's amazing the amount of you that say how much easier it is without other dogs and distractions around.

    Why is this?

Yesterday i had 3 offlead dogs run up to mine whilst onlead. Alfie doesnt like this, and feels the need to defend himself, which makes his nervousness and anxiety worse.

I prefer to walk when no-one else is around, as most owners have no manners, and let their dogs ruin my walk. Its far more relaxing and enjoyable when both my boys are off lead and relaxed.

Anytime is a wonderfull time here :D Except of rain...i dont like getting wet and the fields and the paths are all muddy and slippy then hehe

The paths here are wonderfull, walking through the village, then passing horses, cows, sheep, fields, woods and u meet the odd dog walker on ur way but they are responsible putting their dogs on lead and we put ours on lead, we pass each other and off lead again. Its never boring ....

I took the dogs out at half 5 this mornignas I could not sleep. it was lovely and peaceful, no one around so they were off lead and behaved!

I do prefer to walk them when there is less distractions, as both my dogs do like to go say hello to other dogs, if the other dog is on lead both mine will walk far away from the dog until they get by it then turn to sniff unelss I say 'get on'. If the other dog is off lead they go say hello.

I love it when there are no one else around because I grew up in the middle of no-where and there was rarely a soul around, at any point of the day, so it reminds me of that :)
