Inspired by Gratch's Last Unicorn thread, it got me thinking about tv shows and films and cartoons and such from when I was a lot younger. I discovered a cartoon I watched on youtube, called The Legend of Prince Valiant, which was about a young prince who travelled to Camelot to realise his dream of becoming a Knight of the Round Table. It's extremely cheesy watching the reruns, but i loved it, aged 8.

    What were yours?

Up in the north-east during the 80's we had a summer when the dinner ladies went on strike. It meant that all kids were sent home at 12.00 with a packed lunch in a white paper bag.

I used to race home to sit in front of the TV and tune in to a show called "Puddle Lane" at 12.10pm.

It was a great show, though most people don't seem to be able to remember it.

And of course, as I got older, I loved tuning into Byker Grove. My first job at the age of 14 was doing extra work for that show. I thought I'd made it...top of the world. :D

I didn't watch much TV as a kid, I was more of an outdoor gal, but I do remember loving a show called 'The Tomorrow People'.

Among the birds and the bees.
There live a lot of little people,
They're called The Poddington Peas ♫
