I am so excited. :D Next week I am enrolling to undertake a degree in dog psychology and training. I can't wait to start it. I am so looking forward to it.

I have a degree in IT and this is what I do for a living but I would rather have a career doing something I know I will thoroughly enjoy and will be more rewarding than IT.

Anyway, this is who I will be doing my degree with:-

The Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training providing Middlesex University accredited canine behaviour and dog training courses

What do people think? I have done a lot of research and this IMO was by far the best I have seen.

I'm doing/have done things very similar. It's a fascinating topic!

Are you hoping to work in behaviour?

Good luck with it, I bet you can't wait to get started!

are you doing this while working still?

I want to re-train in somthing as I dont like my job, and want to do something worthwhile (many ideas) and as I have another 35 to 40 years left to work (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhh) I thought it would be good to do somthing good. But I need to keep working at the same time.......

    :)

Yes, I will be doing this whilst working. Most of the work is online. Some of the modules do inform that you have to attend some two day training session though.

Good luck and I hope you find something more rewarding than your current job. :)

I plan on doing soemething similar, but am sticking with short Compass courses for now as a baby, Malamute and puppy in the summer is gonna keep me too busy to study full time, let us know how you get on! :)

It’s mostly online (some of the modules however do have a two day attendance for work shops though) and can be full or part time. If you do decide you want to do something a bit more in depth in the future, have a look at the link on this thread. I agree with you though a baby, malamute and puppy will certainly keep you busy.

    I will keep everyone updated.

    Hi there,

Would love to hear what you think of this course once you have done a module or 2. I am presently studying through Compass and loving it but always good to know what other courses are good!

    Good luck :):)
