Have just let my 2 year old rescue cat outdoors this weekend - for the first time since we got her about 6 months ago. She is used to being an outside cat, and is loving it!!

Thing is - she seems to be licking her bottom an awful lot, and is overly concerned with the litter tray when kept in at night. Is this just a sign of her anxiety/stress at this new lifestyle? Or could it be something else? She is regularly fleaed/wormed etc, and is in very good health.

I'm not terribly worried - just a bit bemussed!!

She could have a water infection, or a STI  I'd recommend a prompt visit to the vets.

Agree with Aurelia she could have a uti which is distressing and painful, so vet check needed today.
