He's a Pomeranian he's absolutely gorgeous, a right character and a little naughty I just wanted all your thoughts on him. I've noticed most poms his age are bigger and more fluffy! Do you think he is full pom? Or is this just normal?

@Sacremist she's got a pom. If she's around will be able to let you know about sizes.

    He's gorgeous.

Are you sure you aren't seeing other Spitz breeds and not poms?

    He's very cute!

Did you buy him as a full pom? I assume he's not registered.
I'd have thought theres a good whack of chi or something in there

I didn't get any papers or anything. Just told he was a Pomeranian. There was two left when I went to view. I met the mother but she had shaven parts on her fur where they said they had shaved her because of the warm weather.

I typed in Pomeranian 13 weeks and they are balls of fluff and bigger. But I saw a teacup pom that looked like him. But the seller didn't mention him being teacup

Urgh teacup is just a dog that's ridiculously smaller than they should be. Usually a ring of the litter

Where did you see him advertised and buy him from? He is very cute but as @BlueJay has said he does look very chi like.

He’s lovely! But doesn’t look like the poms I know when they were pups, when he’s older you can get a test (I’m not sure of name, just have a quick google) that tells you what breeds your dog is composed of :)
Although by the time he’s grown up you’ll probably know whether he’s full Pom or not.

Yes, he looks like a Pom. When Sadie was a puppy she didn’t have much of a long top coat. It was mostly a soft fluffy undercoat. As she grew, her longer top coat grew.

There are three spitz types that look pretty much identical except for size:

    Pomeranian
    German Spitz Klein
    German Spitz Mittel

Pomeranian is the smallest and Mittel is the largest. I think Poms full grown should measure between 18cm and 20cm at the withers, the Klein 23cm and 29 cm and the Mittel 30cm to 38 cm. To be honest, I’ve seen slight variations on these, but they are approximately correct.

There are two types of face: foxy and teddy. You look to have a foxy.

Under 18cm is classed as undesirable.

Yeah I read up about poms and that you shouldn't shave them, take them to a groomer for a trim?

Just to add, my cat sitting next to her was very ill in that photo so was much smaller and thinner than she was when healthy. She had cancer and was on chemotherapy which failed.

Don't care what he is, with a tummy to blow raspberries on like that, who couldn't adore him
