Its more than a few pennies, its 20p's and 50p's on some items, which all adds up to £'s on your shopping bill. So yes, you have indeed paid for your clubcard points lmao.

For example a 2 litre bottle of Pepsi or Cola is £1.79 in Tesco, Asda its £1.29...just one example, I have hundreds more.

No it's a £1 at the moment for Pepsi and £1.78 for cola although looking at the Asda site that's the price there too when there isn't an offer on.

Muller crunch corner yoghurt - buy 2 for £3.29 at Tesco and one for £2.90 at Asda.
Pg tips tea bags 240 Tesco £4.00 Asda £5.45
Heinz Beans £2.35 for 4 at both places but Tesco doing any 3 for £5

Think Asda is okay if you haven't got a family but with a family to shop for I like the many offers that Tesco does.

Anyone remember the movie Demolition Man where in the future every diner had become a Taco Bell??, thats Tesco's dream that is!!
Ive just checked and Ive got 8 stores within 5 miles of me. Although I use Sainsburys and Co-op instead.
Its not just the fact they destroy small business or single handedly affect the economy its the fact the sneakily buy land with no plans to use it. If you have an old disused industrial site near you chances are that Tesco bought it to stop other stores being built in competition with theirs!

Not found that to be honest around here. They bought land in a village near me and built a small tesco on it and most people love it.

Do Tesco offer a refund if you can find your shopping cheaper elsewhere? The answer is NO, Asda do!!!!....And the reason? Because ASDA know they are cheaper lol.

Maybe its different if you are in a small village and dont have many shopping options. Its irritating as **** if your local high street starts filling up with hastily filled charity shops and Poundlands coz people are drawn to the out of town Tesco 'villages' that spring up.
I miss proper high streets...

Well the cola is the same price. and the heinz soup and the beans. Not had time to look through everything but like I say, when shopping for a family Tesco is the better choice as you get offers which you don't get at Asda. I'm sticking with it anyway. I buy my shopping online and if any of the freezer stuff falls out of the bag then they refund the whole lot. Also if I don't shop online for a few weeks they send me a £7.50 voucher by email.

Someone I know got caught up in this riot and ended up needed 10 stitches in his lip after having a bottle chucked at him. Absolutely vile....

I do agree though that there is no need for the Tesco...there are SO many in Bristol. A big one up the road as well as a giant tesco extra and tesco home within a 10 minute drive and countless tesco expresses and garages! Madnesss

but I have a costco card but it does cost £30 a year
I pay about £6 for 8 bottles of pepsi
large blocks of cheese about £4
large pack of 36 AA batteries about £11.50 well knew brand
chocolate on bulk
cat litter about £8 20 litre bags and its a well knew brand
and buy my meat on bulk too (chicken beef pork)
I did buy an easiyo yogurt kit which makes a 1kg of yogurt at home yummm :tongue_smilie:

My mum LOVES Easiyo, but buys hers off QVC, cos I don't think she thought she could get it anywhere else! I will let her know! And I bet Costco is cheaper! Just need to find someone with a Costco card!
