I've seen this mentioned a couple of times on here and am wondering whether to get this or salmon oil (capsules).

What are the differences (apart from the obvious lol)?

EPO is more readily available but is it as good?

Ok, a quick run-down of the differences between salmon oil and EPO. Essentially, the difference lies in their fatty acid content.

EPO only contains omega 6 fatty acids - and is the best source for one particular one - GLA, which helps skin condition (also reduces the itch of allergic conditions and eczema), arthritis etc.

Salmon oil contains both omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. It is the omega 3 fatty acids that are so valuable in salmon oil (particularly the DHA and EPA ones).

So, instead of making it an "either/or" make it an "and" and like everything else - rotate. If you only want to use one, then I would use salmon oil :)

    Hope that helps hun x

No, cod liver oil should not be used...stick with the fish-body oils.
