When I was about 5 my older brothers went to the park which was just across the road, they came back with a carrier bag full of crane flies and when mum wouldn't let them bring it in the house they emptied it in the middle of the street, there were hundreds of them, hated them since..... with their long legs......:yikes:

Same here, I loath hornets, wasps & mozzies.
We have crane flies here. I have been throwing them out the door in the evenings, but I'm sure they fly round the house & right back in the windows.:D

Crane flies are wonderful things. They give our cats hours of entertainment and excercise in the summer. :D:D:D
