Eating behaviour

My 17 year old cat , loves the Dreamies cat sticks in various flavours, and can almost survive on just those. But recently after eating them she "sicks" them up again after 5 minutes or so. Her other normal diet of cooked chicken , wet cat food and biscuit type snacks "stay down" which seems very odd behaviour as she seems almost to have become allergic to them? So the cat sticks are a no no just now which is a shame as she likes / liked them.

Anyone else seen this behaviour?

I've not tried the Dreamies ones on my cats, we use Lick e Lix here and no issues. Perhaps they are a bit rich for her delicate tummy these days. What about trying the Lick E Lix instead to see if she can tolerate them? Otherwise you may have to find something else treat-wise if there's a universal ingredient in them that doesn't agree with her.

I think we tried the Lick E Lix in the past but she wasn't too keen. She's been on the Dreamies sticks for months without a problem so why they have suddenly caused this problem is a mystery as nothing has changed.

Unless they've changed the recipe/ingredients.... it happens sometimes!

In which case you can compare ingredients, it may help you narrow down what is bothering her, and find another wet treat that doesn't have the same ingredients.

Does she tend to gobble them down? Cats are prone to eating too quickly then throwing everything back up again a few minutes later, when they really, really like something.
