If your doctors do a same day appointment service see if you can slot one in for today. Painkillers are the only way I'm afraid :( Oh and don't use any cotton buds because the wax keeps any baddies out so wait until your ear is better before doing that!

I'm gonna go the Asda pharmacy and see what they can give me without prescription. I can't call in sick either as I will be sacked as been having arguments about working Bank Holidays so if I don't come in now, i'll be in firing line.

I never remember it being this bad :( Also can't have anything too strong as I actually need to be awake tonight!!!

Being a Bank Holiday not sure if open, and have to phone up at 8am the day you want appointment, by 9am they all gone. I finish work at 8am so can ring then.

The only thing i can think of is nurofen or similar:eek: The best cure i had for a pain in the ear was to let her go shopping, the pain stopped instantly:lol:

Nurofen or similar until you can get to the docs.
Cotton wool soaked in a little warm olive oil put in the ear can soothe it.

A warm hot water bottle and place it over your ear, dont prodd around inside or it will make it worse, Iburofen is good, Asda's is open today so as alot of other stores.

2 years ago I had ear infection , god all mighty how painful it was . I got antibiotics but the pain was there so I went to A&E as I was in such horrible pain they told me the only thing I can keep the pain in control was Nurofen with Paracetamol ( did worked but I had to take every 6 or 7 hours this drug combination so bad the pain was, the hole skull was hurting .

    Try nurofen with paracetamol
