What a beautiful place and the photos are lovely. I'm really jealous now
thankyou , it is lovely there , we didnt go into the house or the gardens as u have to pay for them , maybe another day we will go in there
thats only half of the pictures i took lmao
Wow, lovely photos. It's looks really nice there, haven't ever been there is it near where you live?
Didn't look overly busy either.
That is a stunning place Dawn, nice place to spend a day although it looks that big you probably need 2 days to get round it properly and take it all in. The photo's are amazing. Loved that wooden sculpture too.xxxx
ive not been here for years , it it quite a big place , we missed a few areas out but got the best out of it , i took nearly 200 pics all together lol
its about 30 mins in car from where i am
National Trust | Dunham Massey
i forgot to say i love the wooden sculpture , i very nearly missed it as its hidden inside a enclosure
I wanted to go there today but my hubby wanted to mess with the pond instead. We can walk from where we live and we go there often. The pics of the dear were fantastic. Thanks for posting them i feel happy now but still wish we had gone. We ended up walking Lymm dam tonight instead.
A bit too far for a day trip unfortunately, but it's now on the list for possible camping holiday destinations.
I remember last year doing one of the Manchester "Sky Ride Local" bicycle rides, we went in the grounds there. Didn't stay long though.
Have you been to Lyme Park? I went there last year with my sister and her bf on their scooters (motorised, moped type) and me on my bicycle, we must have looked funny to other road users.
Going to do some more cycling this year now some health problems are being treated, so will visit a few places like this and take pics.
Our friend has a B&B just down the lane nearby if you need a phone number let me know.
It is a lovely building isn't it. I love going to places like this one. So interesting and alot to see aswell.
Fantastic pics as usual Smudge, looks like you had a lovely day.
we were coming back from stockport and my dad said did we fancy going there as it was on route so we did... luckily i had my camera with me lol .... the deer's wernt anywhere to be seen apart from three ... we looked around but couldnt find them anywhere
whats Lymm dam like , we keep looking for different places to go
its def worth a visit , in ways i wish i was a member of the national trust but because i cant drive and not easy to get to a lol, its not worth it for me at the min .. its £5 parking aswell but if u have a disabled badge its free parking which comes in handy with my mum lol
Lyme Park's not too far from Stockport if you haven't been there, turn left at the Rising Sun in Hazel Grove and carry on up that road. There are deer there too.
Lymm dam is a lovely place to come for a day out. The village is lovely to walk around. If you log onto lymm.net you can see the photo's people have posted.
thanks for that , we were on about going lymm park next time, cant remember if ive been there or not
i will have a look at going to the dam aswell
lol no not been there yet but its on the list of places to go
