    despite its name this isn't the disgusting creature you might think it is,its actually a very good hunter which preys on other fly species

    did i or did i not say to just be patient?;)

    no worries,pretty soon there will be alot of butterflies and dragonflies

    I remember when we were in the dom rep there was a dead dragonfly in the hotel i kid you not it was the length of my arm! From wrist to elbow i couldnt believe my eyes:eek:

    Ahh, yes but when you are getting that close even butterflies and dragonflies look pretty gross.;)
    Another brilliant picture but not as cute as Mr Spider. Im willing to bet that with that face only his mother loves him!LOL

    Horrible things, Dung or Horse flies, the females anyway. They are sneaky & you can't hear them coming because they fly silently. I am very allergic to their bites & swell up like a balloon if bitten. Horses hate them too.
    But your photo is a very good close up of one.:D
