Drontal cat wormer question.

    1 tablet = 4kg cat,so how much of the tablet would be correct dosage to gave a kitten weighing 1120g. 1/4 of a tab?

    Instructions say half a tab per 2kg cat the cat weighs 1120g which would work out to be just over a quarter a tab but is it ok to do so thoughts please.

    Found this on a drontal on line information sheets not sure if it will help -

    Drontal® (praziquantel/pyrantel pamoate) Broad Spectrum Dewormer Tablets for Cats and Kittens are scored for easy breakage. Each tablet contains 18.2 mg praziquantel and 72.6 mg pyrantel base as pyrantel pamoate.

    Drontal (praziquantel/pyrantel pamoate) Tablets Dosage And Administration

    To assure proper dosage, weigh the cat prior to treatment. Select the number of whole or partial tablets needed for the cat from the following table.
    Body Weight* (lbs.)
    Number of Tablets
    1.5 - 1.9lbs - 1/4
    2 - 3lbs - 1/2
    4 - 8lbs - 1
    9 - 12lbs - 1 1/2
    13 - 16lbs -2
    *NOT FOR USE IN KITTENS LESS THAN ONE MONTH OF AGE OR WEIGHING
    LESS THAN 1.5 LBS.

    Thanx wicket well if i was to go with the top end of youngest weight wicket it would be 1.9lb = 826g and she is 1120g so guess she will be fine with 1/4 tab..now to get it in her :D..cheese spread!
