Heather Jansch is brilliant. I've been to her house, met her, had a coffee with her & seen her work there. Also had a wander around her garden, it's lovely.

She holds an open day once a year. I think it's in September. Daughter & I saw the open sign, as we were passing & went in. She's a lovely Lady, I just wish I could afford her horses.

She called the bottom horse no surrender because she said he was so difficult to finish.

Beautiful, the second picture beach scene the horse almost looks real, the conformation is brilliant especially the legs/hooves

I visited a sculpture garden last week and came across these, not as good but still impressive

Also this one made from horse shoes

Also these rather bizarre ones made out of all sorts of old rubbish!

I just showed this to the OH and he said 'oh yeah, there was a rerun of an old country file on yesterday and they showed her doing it. Takes up to three years to make apparently'
He could have told me it was on cos I love that kind of thing!

i love horses and this sculptress is truely amazing she must have spent a lot of time around horses to capture this likeness, i think ive got a pic of her sculptures in my thread "imagine walking down the street and.........."
i used to be able to draw my fav horses from memory when i was younger, and once i made a collage of a wild horses head with crazy mane outta a broken mirror, unfinished project lost in the trials of life.:(
i ve always wanted a real live horse but i may have to settle for building/creating one:)
