Had a lovely walk today. Took Maisie and Buddy to our favourite stomping ground and there were dogs a plenty. Steve was down there. Well Steve has 2 Alaskan Marmalutes. They are simply stunning. He really does look after them. Friendly and calm and the job he has done on their coats. Nice and thick, soft and dense. He puts the hours in. I would gladly have them on my Christmas cards! Also down there was 2 ladies with 2 Golden Retrievers. They were lovely the girls. One of them had a pug who just had his nuts taken from him and they were taking him out for some air. Buddy was well in his element playing with them and running about. They again lovely coats and well groomed. Nice and soft. A couple brought in their female Norfolk Terrier and it chased our Maisie. Maisie was playing a bit hard to get and the Norfolk Terrier was lovely. Such a soppy and kind beast. Wanted a fuss and would roll over for a tickle bless her. We bumped into a Pointer and a Patterdale and they lovely and calm too. Each of our dogs had a sniff and tilt of the caps and went our separate ways.

Buddy's admirerer showed up.....Alfie the small Bichon :001_tt1: We gave him a wide berth as he likes to well ahem...Exert his dominance.

When we got back and well Buddy's socks nice and mucky and Maisie was wet from the rolling around in due. She did miss some dog poop that someone generiously left on the grass. After a toweling and a gravy bone, they are well and truly done for the day.

It is such a wonderful sight seeing dogs socialise and even the walkers. Nice crisp afternoon. Sun shining and about 8oc out there. Lovely.

Lots of dogs where we walked too. We saw a 4 month old 'Goldendoodle' (??) who wanted to play with Bess but as they were both on their flexes it couldn't happen, and then an off lead Doberman who was a perfect gentleman even though Bess caught us by surprise and rushed back and jumped straight up at him. Both front paws in his chest. He just stood there and didn't move at all.

We met loads of other dogs too, but tried to get Bess to ignore them as she is just to playful.

Awww seeing your CRC has made remember there was one of them down there. She hid bless her. She was a tad shy and literally didn't stray from her owners. She came for a brief sniff and was gone again.

It is nice when you can go to nice open spaces and watch your dogs have a little run. Buddy would literally go home with someone. Just loves being the centre of attention. One of the Retrievers owners remarked "His is a big bundle of friendly fluff" which was nice.

We know someone who has a labradoodle and the dog is lovely. I just couldn't stop hugging him. Like a big teddy bear they is. :)
