I don't watch many films but my 8 year old daughter has nearly every doggy film going and she says she likes the Mist sheepdog tales and the Mist, the tale of a sheepdog puppy. She also loves all the Beethoven films.:)

I remember seeing Digby the Biggest dog in the World at the pictures when I was young. I got it for my daughter on DVD. Does anyone else remember this one?

The Call of the Wild. I also read the book several times when I was a kid.

just read the synopsis, i'd forgot all about the pigs and the cow and the wolf.

it was the wolf that gave him rabies not the bear lol.

dunno if i could watch it again i might bawl my eyes out and i'm 52 now:D

much much sadder than marley and me.

the marley book was ok, but the film grated on my nerves because the guy who played grogan i detest.
his voice was like a file grinding my teeth down.

and he seemed to be a bit of a cruel git to me.

but honestly for an all out cry your heart out dog film ya gotta see old yeller.
i'll post the wiki link on abd read about it.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Yeller_(1957_film)

i can just see the whole plane in tears lol, an idea for another film maybe?

ps i was born in '57 too
