hi, my dog is an 11 year old jrt. He has an abscess on a tooth that was treated. After that he developed a cough, treated by vets which they thought may have been an infection from the abscess in his mouth bursting and being swallowed.

Two weeks later we went back to the vets for his boosters and a check up on the throat issue and the vet found a small lump and said his lymph nodes were a little enlarged. He’s booked in next week to be put out for bloods, X-ray and to have a look what the lump is and take a sample. But I can’t help thinking the worst, has anyone been in a similar situation?

In himself he’s fine, eating and drinking fine, playful, he is on metacam for the throat issue but once he’s had it he’s his normal self
