    How awful :( Poor dog. I do hope they found who committed this crime and that they are duly dealt with.

    My god I cannot believe that someone could do such a thing.

    Let's hope there is some justice and the poor dog managed to bite the b.....d and he/she needs medical care, hopefully someone will have had the sense to take swabs from the dog to match up.

    Prison is too good for scum like that. :mad:

    This makes me so sad as its near me! Been really angry about it seeing it on Facebook and was going to post here but didn't know if people wanted to see it!

    I can't believe people are so sick! Poor poor doggie :frown:

    HAve to admit, the minute I read the story, something immediately popped into my head, but not that would be acceptable to say out loud.

    Not surprised it was a lurcher - sounds strikingly similar to what happens to galgos when hunting season is done.

    Yes my thoughts too. Apparently it is common practice in some parts of Spain to get rid of working dogs at the end of the season in this way and then to replace them when the hunting season reopens. In coastal areas they weight them down with boulders and throw them into the sea :(
