    I just can't decide
On the one hand I would love my boys to get into TV (yes that's where I imagine they would end up cos they are just so amazing ;) )

But on the other I try to get them taken seriously as real dogs and I can just see them dressing them up in ridiculous outfits with words like 'bad boy'
or even worse 'princess' on them!!

and I hate the cheesy wording!!!

Might be a chance to promote rescue dogs?

    There is that :)
but then it goes back to giving the wrong image of the breed
A large percentage of the dogs that come in are from people that thought they were handbag dogs to dress up

awww I don't know I don't like to judge it's just the whole 'diva' thing isn't it
it makes me think of bulldogs in tutus and studded leather doggie jackets

I do dress my dogs, but for warmth, or protection.

I think its absolutely disgusting dressing dogs up and parading them up down catwalks in clothes! :p

I would never do such a thing to my pampered pooch

In all seriousness if your dog isn't phased by such environments then go for it. :)

And if it all proves to much then just leave - make sure you google a few good walks nearby and a dog friendly pub :)

    awww she looks amazing
But look how gorgeous she is
Plus its the opposite of what I described IFYKWIM
Breed stereotyping I suppose, like if someone wanted to put a dog of Millies 'look' in a studded collar and have her baring her teeth in a photo shoot. Thats what I worry about with the cresteds. I dunno you know me, rambling on

nb- and they are sensible clothes

I understand what you are trying to say Babycham :)

Depends on how it was done, but it could be a way of promoting the rescue but like you say it's a fine line.

If we were closer I'd take Lilly - Although with her new dodgy hair cut I don't think she'd get far :D

I understand what you mean. It depends if you can choose what they wear. There was a tutu which fitted Millie and paw warmers! I said NOOOO although not everything was that sensible:

its says something like 'Queen' in fake diamontes on the back

I wouldn't worry so much about stereotypes as such as long as you know your dog is happy thats the main thing. I realise that rolls off my tongue quite easily these days as I am thick skinned - Those who now me know why make the decisions I do re Millie. Those who judge without knowing well that's not my problem

I think you should go for it Percy is gorgeous! :001_tt1:

If you can go along to the auditions, see what it's like and decide then.

Aww, I'd love to take Skip!

But it's too far at such short notice :(

I always see little scruffy dogs on TV and think, Skip could do that :)

Saying that, I don't dress him up much :eek:/

My oldest dog got through to the final audition for a tv show. He wasn't bothered, but I was completely bored waiting around for his turn and wouldn't do it again.

I'm not sure if I should admit my yorkie has that top for when it turns cold... I like how they have harness holes and have the diamanté skull one as well.
