My cat is a purebred and I am not sure this should happen in purebreds. Do these coat differentiating hairs seem normal to you? She is a seal point Siamese.

Is this on her back? That's a very dark back colour for a Siamese if so?

Yes. I also think it’s quite dark. But I have read it happens in some cases.

She is quite dark but this could be through age or temperature, especially if she goes out or lives in cool conditions. The few lighter hairs on her back could just be left over from the darkening process

She’s not even 2 years old and she lives in quite comfortable conditions.

I love her to death but I hope they didn’t give me false papers. Could this be a sign of non pure breeds?

Do you have a registration certificate as well as her pedigree? It may be that she is just naturally darker and not the best example of her type. Did you see her parents or mother at least? Is she also dark?

I have everything. Her parents and grandparents are average darkness. She is the first one this dark on the back. Probably a mutation.
