I have one to date (not including a poem I wrote after my mc which is too personal for me to put here) it's called Faerie Ring  I wrote it when I was 14 or something

    Silently they call to me,
Musical voices floating on a silvery wind,
Their enchanting music rouses me from my bed.
    Intrigued, I follow the sound,
It leads me to the bottom of the garden,
And draws me into the forest.

Twinkling lights surround me as I enter,
An owl hoots from the darkness,
I hear laughter and feel the smallest of tugs.
Looking down I see a faerie child with wings of silken gold,
She smiles and leads me into a clearing,
There lays a ring of mushrooms, I have found a faerie ring!

    All around the faeries gather,
    Whispering, giggling and pointing,
    Suddenly a horn is sounded.
    All is quiet,
    Before me, she stands,
The faerie Queen in all her glory.

    She extends her hand,
She is inviting me into the circle of magic,
    Honoured, I obey.
I am offered food but I am too much in awe,
Amazed, I watch them sing and dance,
The night moves slowly, the air filled with laughter.

When the first rays of sun break,
I thank the Queen for letting me see their magic,
    She smiles but says nothing.
Before I leave the clearing I turn to wave,
    But they are gone,
Though somehow I know I will be welcomed again.

    I do! :D

Only occasionally and usually as a result of how I'm feeling at the time whether happy or sad. I've also wrote some about my pets

Yep, this is from my dog website, a dedication to an old gundog I rescued:

Rhuna was taken in as a rescue dog by word of mouth. She was very smelly from having lived outside in a kennel, had a few kennel sores and was also very thin from being fed a complete food with poor nutritional value. Within a week she looked much better, her coat was shiny and her eyes much brighter.

When she was checked out by the vet during the first week, they advised that she only had a few weeks to live, her mammary glands were covered with tumours that were so far advanced they had to have affected other areas including her major organs. It was heartbreaking to have made what seemed a turn for the best for Rhuna, only to be told she wouldn’t have long to enjoy her new life.

Fortunately that vet was wrong, not only did Rhuna outlive the maximum six weeks given to her, but she surprised everyone by living on for a good long seven months. During that time she made an impact on anyone who knew her, and with a little coaxing from Indie and Tau she learnt how to play and enjoy life, she loved her raw chicken and wouldn’t eat her senior complete if there was a sniff of it about.

It is sad that Rhuna couldn’t stay for longer, but I feel proud and very honoured to have had the chance to share that time in her life. When her time came I stayed with her till the end, she deserved at the very least to be cuddled until she finally fell asleep for good, and this poem is dedicated to beloved Rhuna.

    Remember Rhuna

    Remember me in the morning,
    Last one up, still yawning,
Beautiful brown eyes and glistening black nose,
Lumpy tummy and knobbly old toes
    My tail wagging with glee,
    Please remember me,
And how I love to laugh and play.
    Remember me in the day,
Full and content lying in the sun
Stretched out showing my lumpy tum,
    Whuffling in my sleep
With twitching paws and crocodile teeth,
    Chasing rabbits whilst dreaming.
    Remember me in the evening,
And when my time has come
Please do what must be done.
But stay with me until the end
    And whisper me kind words,
Until I fade away old friend
And your words are no more heard.

Rhuna was cremated and her ashes scattered in a local wood where she used to love chasing the scent of rabbits, and sticking her head as far into burrows as she could.

Im hoping that as i have had 2 smaller poems published free in a spiritual magazine, that i may be able to get a little book publised sometime in the future!

Have any of you ever had your poems published???
