Just thought it would be interesting to do a poll to see the percentage of members that smoke and what everyone's views are on it.

Fag free for 5yrs on the 7th of this month. OH still does much to my annoyance, can't stand the smell or having to empty stinky ashtrays..... yuck....

All those in the process, good luck, if I did it you can I was smoking 40 a day and had smoked for 28 yrs when I decided enough was enough. When I think of the money I wasted it makes me want to cry.........

Never have, OH gave up about 18 years ago.

I have not problem with people who smoke.

When I was younger most people smoked, it was advertised all the time on TV, street posters and newspapers ect. they never warned you how bad it was for you, so I understand when you have smoked for years how hard it must be to give up.

But I can't understand why young people smoke with all the information we have today it's just crazy.

I don't, never have .Just seems completely pointless, I remember watching adults smoking when I was a kid and being quiet entertained watching them sucking on that white stick then the faces pulled when they exhaled., and the flick gesture :D... but I certainly don't think it should be illigal, hell all that tax must pay for a lot of stuff :)

Yes I smoke. I don't want to. I am pregnant ant trying extremely hard. I have gone from 30 a day to 5 a day. But kicking those last 5 is so hard. My midwife said that smoking those 5 is less dangerous then the stress I am causing myself over it all. If only some onlookers saw it that way.

You have done so well to cut it down to 5 a day and i agree with the midwife it would cause more stress to you and baby and that in my view could harm more

My mate did the same then eventually cut down to one... one a day and some days she did not have that one. But when she chucked her small pack away she went mental for a fag,,, so she just carries a small pack in bag and now they can sit there for months untouched. Another mate gave up and put on almost 5 stone. Now that had to be worse for her...

I gave up 11 years ago when i was pregnant with my first child, so glad i did i wouldn't waste nearly £7 on a packet :scared: :scared: :scared:

    7 x £7 = £49 a week for a 20 a day habit
That's £2548 a year :scared: how do people afford it
