Actually...I thought it would be worse that in actually is.

I dont agree with everything he's saying...but some if it is sensible enough. Like the idea for some separate dog parks for big and small dogs...stuff like that I agree with....

Crikey, very "dated" advice now proven to be almost 100% unaffective.

We spoke to a trainer just this weekend about some things we need to work on with Amber, including some dog aggression, he said that the things we will be working on these next 6 weeks may help her out with the dog agression as well, as a side effect, almost. And he uses really gentle techniques... I understand why people might use harsh methods if they haven't looked into training methods that are out there, but I don't understand why people would OPT to use harsh or overly physical training/ correction, when they might know there are gentler mehtods which also work.

That prong collar looks like some kind of medievil torture device!

Oh is he? I have to say, I wouldn't want to come accross him! Yeesh, according to this I should rehome Amber because I won't thump her for her dog aggression! The trainer we had in said I had to stop mollycoddling them, but being firmer with a 'no!' and thumping are two veeeery different things.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's put quite a few new dog owners onto a very unhappy path with his 'my way or the highway' attitude. It does read as though the writer has very strong, immobile and undiscussable views.
