So my cat likes to be indoors. If he does go out he doeant venture outside the back or front garden. But hes ventured further afield and im worried sick he wont get home x

    hello

    So has he gone then?

If so best thing to do is scatter any of his dirty litter around the edges of your garden and hang out as much of your dirty washing as you can. He should be able to smell them which will help him guide his self home.
He could well be scared and hiding right now and waiting for calmer times!

have you been out calling him back?

Yeah... I see him round the corner and he darted into someone's garden. I tried to entice him out but he wasnt having none of it. I tried walking away hoping he would follow me but no luck and now i cant see him anywhere x

Ok, he is either being a little monkey and exploring or is hiding. You will have to continue to try and coax him home, you don’t want him still out in the dark. Can you shake his treat packet? Is he food driven?

Cats very much have minds of their own. At least you know he is nearby and I'm sure he will come home when he's had his adventure but he will most likely want to go off again now he's found there's life outside the garden.

Oh well he should be back when he is hungry! We have all been in your shoes with outdoor cats and it’s horrible, so try not to chew all your finger nails off.
@Charity is right, now he has had a taste of venturing he might well keep doing this. Has he been neutered?

Just gone midnight, I was lying in bed thinking how lonely it is without my cat. I hear my Son open the front door and say 'Where the hell have you been' and laughed. I went flying downstairs to see him. Hes soggy and hungry but hes ok... he walked in with his usual strut of I own the place! Lol

Well I am glad I didn’t double check this thread before bed time or would have been up all night worrying!

What a monkey! On the brighter side, it’s good he knew his way home!

moving forward what are you going to do? Allow him out again or take measures?

so pleased he is home :)

Oh wow!! What a worry!! My old girl had a few days out like that. But luckily never left it quite so late to return. We would be stressing every minute until she came back.
It’s funny how some cats can be so house bound for years and then suddenly decide they fancy a bit of adventure.
Glad he’s home and safe x

:Hilarious Know the feeling, thanks to my cats that’s where all my grey hairs have come from.

Have a look into cat proofing your garden, many have diy job themselves, then your naughty monkey gets the best of both worlds, he goes outside but can’t wander off and no cats can get in and fight over territory plus no stress for you, It’s definitely becoming the way to go with cats as there are too many dangers for cats now.

Let’s have a photo of this naughty monkey then :D

The picture above is his fave spot. The bookcase! We had to move everything from that shelf to make room! Little toerag! No poops are given!
