..How many breeders on here do the above? is it something members feel should be used more, and do you feel its worth doing?

Its something we do, and I personally feel more people should be doing it...!!

This one is being done in the states at the same time that our LPN1 testing is done. They are doing both at the same time for no extra cost so just couldn't say no ;)

I've done my own with the KC kits at £15 each years ago. Think they're £25 now.

Jeez so the KC kits are cheaper than the AHT kits...Let me just check the AHT prices.

ETA - Yep still £36, I feel cheated

Yet we have sent swabs to the AHT for holding for later use in developing a test for SRMA and they have made no mention of using that for a DNA profile - now that would have been joined up thinking on their part wouldn't it?

I'll be doing it for candy once we have sorted ourselves out with puppy etc so it can be done at the same time.

Hm I must admit I've thought about this. Whats the procedure? Just a swab like for MDR1? What comes back when you have it done?

I've got a few of the kits left over from when we MDR1 tested (they sent us 6 when we needed 2 lol) - can I use these? Where do you send them? My dogs aren't KC registered in this country......

They dont have to be kc reg. but KC send you the kits and you send it back to them in the envelopes they provide with the kit. They will then send you the certificate.
