Usually if I want Dix to get me something specific she needs a little encouragement, ie a point in the right direction, or a ''pick it up' when she is at the item i want.
But this morning, I was making oh's coffee and I wasn't even looking at what i wanted.. I said to her ''Dixie, Dave's hungry, where's his dish? Fetch Dave;s dish'' And she went right over to it, picked it up and brought it to me! :)

So I thought I would try it again ''Dixie, are you hungry?'' (woof) ''Get your dish, where is it?'' It was by the table I couldn't even see it and she just went and had a wee look for it then brought it to me :)

She's learning ''shut the door'' but she still needs me to point at it before she will shut it. But then i guess that's ok because there are quite a few doors so maybe she would get confuse as to which one?

Tonight I asked her to ''get me the tin'' of dog food when I opened the cupboard. She will pass me something that is on the floor, and you know, how usefull is she going to be when I eventually get pregnant and can't bend down easily :D
