After a dental how long are the stitches likely to take before they are gone?
I think Monty's took about 8 - 10 days to come away but they were in his lip not his gum and they just hung in there precariously for a few days before falling out
Apparently one was still there after 2 weeks but had started to dissolve, seems rather slow?
I should go eventually if not could the vet snip it out, have you spoken to the vet about it.
It was checked yesterday, and will probably be checked again tomorrow
We have a not eating much situation :rolleyes5:
I would ask if it's possible for them to cut/remove the stitch if possible, stupid question but have you tried mashing wet food with warm water to make a delightful meaty soup so she can just lap it up.
She hasn't eaten well for about 4 weeks
She stopped suddenly. I gave her Gourmet mousse which she licked up. I was mashing her food anyway otherwise she licks off the gravy/jelly and leaves the lumps. I have tried mashing up every food we have, and the kitchen has more foods than Zooplus
She was crunching on a bit of dry which I thought a bit odd if her mouth hurt, but will only eat a little bit at a time of anything, wet or dry.
When I got my male Guinea Pig neutered we were told that they would dissolve in 7-10 days 4 weeks later they were still there had to get the vet to take them out.
We were told at the start that if they didn't dissolve they would need to be removed.
The second one has finally gone (we think) after almost 3 weeks.
What a wee shame. Is she eating any better?
She has licked the jelly of her food today, didn't eat overnight and I am struggling to get pro kolin into her as she has the runs as well.
