We had to say goodbye to our little Jack Russel yesterday, she had an ulcer on her eye was prescribed Loxicom administered for over a week, there was blood in her stools so we stopped but it was too late, she became anemic then she turned jaundice her organs started to shut down, just be aware these drugs can be fatal, the vet advised her to be put to sleep last night, she was bright yellow

So sorry to hear this. It does seem to apparently happen sometimes yet there are thousands of dogs taking it long term with no ill effects. I had to take one of mine off it after 24 hours as she was passing pure blood. She recovered straight away though.

Nothing to say about the drug as I've never had anything to do with it..... Just couldn't just read and run.

I so sorry this has happened to Daisy.

    RIP Little Girl

So very sorry for your sad loss, run free little Daisy.
Thanks for sharing this.My dog can't have any of the NSAID'S,he was very poorly with his stomach but fortunately he was ok once off the medication.I know some dogs do very well on them. It's sometimes hard to know what to do for the best but it's really helpful if people are aware and watch out for a bad reaction,so your post could well help to save another dog.Sadly,it sounded like it worked so quickly on your little beauty that you didn't have chance to respond to it until the damage was done.
Take care and I hope your memories of your time with Daisy bring you comfort in the time to come.
