cystine stones in bullmastiff

    We have a Bullmastiff who has had the operation to create the extra opening to pass urine through. Even though he is much better he is still having problem cystine stones forming. Any advice on dissolving or reducing the size of these stones would be welcome.

    The vet should be able to give you some medication & you can get special food but hopefully the meds will do the job. Alot of Dalmatains get this problem feeding a diet high in purine/protien does'nt help them but not sure if you have the same problem :eek:
