Went up in to the Cotswolds yesterday and although it was foggy so I couldn't see a lot or take any sharp pics more than a couple of yards away, there were a few things worth sharing. Stone walls are an ecosystem in their own right. They should be protected! They have many lovely things living on them. Unfortunately the one of the two pheasant ladies looking sideways at the owl didn't come out - they leapt on to the wall, and then saw the owl, and their faces were a picture. This yellowhammer was singing away beside us. Not sure what was up with this kestrel. I think it was more than simply wet as it didn't dry out anymore than this in three hours. Also it wasn't as wary of us as it should have been - more obsessed with preening. I hope it managed to sort itself out eventually.
