You want a neighbour?
Sure, send the Alpaca over. And the chickens too.
Here is a picture I just took from my verandah
He's so cute.
What about the alpaca?
That's what I meant, the Alpaca is cute!
I assume the alpaca is a he. Cleveland is a boy's name, right? Demi has a girl's name because I thought he was a girl.
I don't know if it is a boy or a girl, neither does the owner
Adelaide pilot leaves 'I'm bored' message and graffiti on flight radar
Your town is even smaller than mine, 669 people here. There is only the school, a few gas stations, bars, and one or two restaurants. But all that stuff is on the other side of town. I'm on the side surrounded by woods/forest. I bet in your town of only 150 people, everybody knows everybody else's business.
The alpaca is adorable! Here is one I saw once in Austin:
They were a trip!
I bet it's kinda annoying to live in a town where everyone knows everyone else's business. I grew up in a fairly small town, but not that small. I'm sure there are lots of positive things, too. What are some of y'alls favorite things about living in a small town?
I have not lived in a small town before and I don't care if they know my business; I hope they like the colour brown
I have only lived in Melbourne growing up until I left & went bush over 3 decades ago; I have emerged from the bush, the wild west is not as wild as where I came from
I heard the local cafe is closing but they are putting up a roadhouse & a caravan park, great, more tourists
I love them, thanks for the pics. They look like the llamas that I see at the state and county fairs. I've been obsessed with llamas ever since I saw one on Sesame Street when I was a kid.
Definitely having animals is the best part of living out in the country. I've had 11 cats total in my life, 4 bunnies, and 7 chickens. We had a few dogs, but my dad would always give them away. I lived in a town an hour from here for several years, but they didn't allow pets in most apartments.
Maybe you'll tell us some of your adventures living in Melbourne and the wild bush. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
No more Wild West here, anymore. I believe ya.
A universal truth no matter where one lives: "great. More tourists."
I will tell tales, what sort of tales are you after?
I had no sisters & only one brother, thankfully he is dead
Any sort of tales will do. What was it like growing up?
Not sure if I should ask about this one?
I was small when I was born, but over the years I grew bigger
But I never had a tail, it would have been cool to have one
Bears don't have tails? Or do they have a little stump?
I can't see it, if I turn around to see it, my bum keeps moving & I can never catch up
I have seen dogs do this a lot, it is fun to watch when one gets bored
Yep, stubby little tail:
There. That way you don't have to chase it like a pup.
Thank you very much for that, that explains a few things
