Any of your dogs do this? Nova always jumps on the bed or couch after a meal and rolls on her back and grunts in happiness! It’s the sweetest thing to watch.

Bungo rubs his face, head and neck on my legs regularly, I just thought he was using me to clean his face, it's lovely to know its out of contentment and not what I thought - that he was mistaking me for a face cloth.

    huh...thats what thats about!?o_O
Hannah always does this after a walk. She runs to her bed and rolls around and around. I thought she was just getting getting rid of that harness feeling!

Its a different type of expression for mealtimes though. Hannah throw a toy around and Heidi spins!

I think they are just using us or furnishings as a makeshift napkin? I often get a face rubbed on me and the smell of tripey slobber is just lovely :Hungover

T snowploughs along the carpet sometimes, I thought (think) he is just cleaning his moustache!

Luna rolls around and pushes herself off on her back by kicking you with her back legs. Then she comes to cuddle you and curls up in a ball against you like she is doing a forward roll. Then sprawls out to get you to rub her tummy. If you stop she looks up to check why!!

Rubbing their face and muzzle after eating is just cleaning it off, and it probably feels good too.

Bates loves getting toweled off after a walk in the rain, he will insist on getting his face rubbed with the towel the most, he just really likes face rubs. *shrug* :)

Yup, McKenzie does it on the carpet, Elliot does it on the (new!) sofa.

Both the boys do this I always thought sox was wiping his face on the sofa. Like @O2.0 Bates he likes a towel dry and a face rub. Loki is always dragging his body over something.

Nope lol. Mine goes full blown psycho and wants to play, looking at me with a toy in its gob then when ignored starts sprinting around, bordering on zoomies lol. I tell her she will make herself sick but doesn't listen lol.

After certain meals Archer puts on quite a performance; throwing himself on the floor & rolling around, rubbing his whole body up against the furniture, sneezing a lot …. so funny.

Over Christmas he had a particularly nice meal, so much so that he ended up humping his food bowl!! He is an entire male GSD (nearly 6 yrs old) & has never humped anything before so this was obviously a very nice dinner :D:rolleyes:

He had roast chicken breast, raw chicken drum sticks, mashed potato, carrots, peas & gravy. We all love our food in this house but that was a first! :D
