My dog is nearly ten and I have noticed her eyes clouding over could this be cataracts and shoud I need to worry about it .

It doesn't seem to bother her at all , but for my own piece of mind I would just like to know if I should need to do something for her.

We have a german spitz who is sadly only 4 and totally blind but appart from the clouding in her eyes, and obviously if anything is moved she copes extremely well - we looked into having the cataracts removed but they weren't very hopeful that it would be at all successful and after consultation it was decided to leave them alone. Eye specialist said they adapt very well and she has and still attends obedience class.

My old girl Jilly has clouding in the eyes, think its an old age thing but she can still trot about and i presume she can see well enough.
