yes i know how to look after a dog! LOL I just wondered what you use to clean your dogs eyes.

I used to use a bit of soft tissue soaked with warm water but i've now started to use a cotton bud soaked with a bit of water and it seems to do the trick.

Elmo has his own soft face cloth.
I run it under warm water and bathed his eyes.
The funny thing is he knows when he see's me coming with the flannel he runs.
Its Mum with that darn face cloth again bless him.:)

I use eye wipes you can buy from the local petshop they are cented though and I think they make Pipkins eyes water more then they would without them so I am looking into other methords now. I suppose each dog is different and its just what works. He seems to only have runny eyes in the wind, I know hes due to teeth and i was woundering do small dogs eyes water abit when thats due to happen? Ziggys eyes are fine.

I use cotton wool and water.

If I'm out and have no tissues etc. my thumb does the trick :)

Has anyone of you guys tried Apple Cider Vinegar? I did for a couple of weeks with Rodney as he had gunky eyes, it cleared it up so it was just crusty bits instead - but as he's a brown dog anyway, we don't have issues with tear staining.

Anyway... maybe a thought if it's a chronic bother...
