Chyna was a poundie who has come into rescue today and will be looking for an experienced foster home.

Chyna is a mastiff cross 9 yrs of age (10 this yr). She was found straying in Reading and picked up by the dog warden. Luckily for her the wardens try to hold on the dogs as long as possible before they go to be pts, this worked in her favour and she is now in kennels in Cornwall. She is spayed, has had a booster vax and kennel cough.

We know a little of her history as she had previously been in the pound but her old owner's claimed her. This time unfortunately neither them or her new owners felt they could take her back.

As a poundie we will be doing an assessment in kennels however we do feel it is not until a dog is in a home environment that a true picture of a dogs character is fully evident. Thus we are looking for a foster home. If in the long term a forever home could not be found for this elderly lady then we would consider her to become a long-term foster for Second Chance Poundies. All fosters and possible adopter's will have to have a homecheck prior to fostering/re-homing one of our dogs. We would prefer a poundie to be fostered within 2hrs of Cornwall.

The foster MUST have experience with large breeds as we have been told she is particularly strong on the lead.
