    Hi
New here, just thought I'd ask, my 5 year old chorkie has a front tooth thats wobbly and by the looks of it, all 4 front teeth have gone bad. Ive started using plaque off and I have an apt with the vet in a month (Covid queue) as they say its not an emergency as she's eating. Anything more I can do at home? Ive been advised to avoid brushing the front ones as they'd be painful and to give her Calpol 6+ twice a day which is slightly worrying me also!
    Thanks

Thanks so much! Do you know of any side effects with this product?

Be warned, he might not like it, my girl doesn't. It's very sticky as it's supposed to cling to the teeth and gums ,and vanilla flavoured so qute sweet. Reena doesn't seem to mind the taste, it's the stickness she doesn't like, but it's so effective on gum inflammation worth the effort.

I cant believe your vet thinks it is ok to wait a month. Some vets have been back to normal for weeks and some never really stopped. If they think it is bad enough to need calpol then it bad enough to be seen straight away. I would suggest either insisting that you get an appointment for Monday or you change your vet to one that is actually working.

Ah ha, that was straight forward. Sorry I didn't see it:rolleyes:
It would be easier if these made up cross breed names were made clearer, just by stating what the cross is.

    Thank you.

Do you think the calpol is harmful to use for more than a couple of weeks?

This is how her teeth look.
I’m getting a bit more more worried today as she seems a bit sad

Poor girl, and she is only 5! The teeth are dreadful and her gums look so inflamed. Definitely insist on her being seen. It is urgent. Email your vet those photos if you are still struggling for an appointment. It is definitely a welfare issue.
