radiohead - How To Disappear Completely probably

    (That there
    That's not me
    I go
    Where I please
    I walk through walls
    I float down the Liffey
    I'm not here
    This isn't happening)

My mate daz chose roy chubby brown - who the f*** is alice.. was a very daz-like thing to do lol, could hear a rippple of bitter sweet laughter fill the building.

my mum didnt specifically request a song, so was up to me and my sisters to decide... there was really no other choice than meat loafs bat of hell which she loved, but my sisters were worried it wasnt appropriate for a religious funeral in a church... still i talked them into it, was only right and proper.

Haha... That was the second one I requested, funnily enough. Ended up with Bon Jovi Dead or Alive, Steppenwolf Born to be Wild, and Don McLean American Pie. All deemed just about suitable enough to not make my grandparents have a heart attack on the spot ;) It wasn't even in a church!

We had Mike & the Mechanics, The Living Years for my Dad...

For me, I'd have Ronan Keating's version of 'If tomorrow never come's - for my daughter, always brings a tear to my eye does that! xx

Rita Streich was my fil's choice.

OH wants Eva Cassidy Over the Rainbow.

I'd like Lakme The Flower Song. Very beautiful.

I've got mum and day's choices written down, Dad wants a solemn brass band number. (Not 'orange juice'!)

Remember a friend telling me about a funeral she went to, it should have been some Gladys Knight song but the vicar played the wrong one instead of whatever the choice was he played "Leaving on the Midnight Train to Georgia" Lol I thought it was quite apt :D

    an organist shares the tale...

organist: and your chosen music/hymn for leaving the church?
mourning family: thank you, play What ever you want.

the organist thought about it, but played something appropriate.
