Hi, basically I just need some information/help, I have a chinchilla he’s 3 years old, and two weeks ago he got his teeth stuck and the teeth ripped out, they’re growing back but now they’re growing back in sideways (I can see two little bumps where his teeth are growing and one is like way further up than the other) he was treated by a vet at the time, but I’m not sure if they have actually dealt with Chins before, all they did was give him something for the pain and remove the teeth that were loose. My question is what should I do? I know it will cause trouble for him if his teeth grow in sideways (could cause Malo I think) and I’m concerned. Should I take him to a dental health vet? Will they be able to correct it? Should I wait to see if the teeth grow in straighter? I’m really at a loss here and I love him so much that it would kill me if anything happened to him. Just need some answers. Anything helps. Thank you.

Your chinchilla very urgently needs to see a specialist vet, have x-rays, and the total damage of this accident assessed. It is uncertain what the prognosis will be until x-rays have been carried out. Your chinchilla will undoubtedly now have issues due to losing teeth. Please do not delay in getting specialist help.
