I am interested in buying a Chihuahua and I have found one locally, a little boy. But he has a small hernia. The lady selling him said the vet said he is not concerned about it and sometimes hernias dissappear.
    Does anyone have any advice?!!

Its not a huge problem and they can dissapear.
However I think most are removed later on in life, usually at time of neutering.

Sounds really crude, but has she offered any money off of him or help with the cost of having it operated on if need be at a later date?

My little yorkie had a hernia, which they mended at the time of neutering. I can't remember them charging any extra, but it was ten years ago. She's been fine since, in fact it never bothered her at all.

Yeah, she's knocked the price down from £400 to £350.
I'm not sure what to do...

If you are happy with every other aspect of the breeder and the pup I would go with it.
    Best wishes whatever you decide.:)

Something else to consider is if you want to breed it is hereditary.
