What a horrendous thing to happen!
Hope all the cats find their way back, safe and sound to be counted.
Dreadful: Celia Hammond does such a great job.
That's appalling. I hope they find the remaining cats.
Outrageous what they get away with, they should be prosecuted for having dogs dangerously out of control. There is no justification for packs of hounds even being out in public anymore. If the blood thirsty idiots want to pretend to follow a scent then do so with one or two dogs at a time. Hope all the cats are soon back safe and well.
Different situation I know but I was horrified to read this in our local paper - happened very close to me and I won't repeat what I would have done had I been there to witness it
How sick. I hope they find the *******s but its unlikely.
At least the police are investigating which is more than they would have done in the past. Never know someone might get a car reg or something.
It's about bloody time something was done about these upstart hooligans because as the law stands at present, it's providing the delinquents with a free licence to do as they bloody well please.
As the law stands at present?
On the side of the Fox Hunter as is evident in the following video...
I dont get it...
Why can you have a pack of out of control Staffies for example and it be classed as a dangerous dog incident and yet its fine to have a massive pack of out of control beagles and nobody give a ****!?
Surely if hunt dogs are found to be out of control in public or private property they should be subject to the same laws.
I've just heard about this incident on Chris Packhams twitter feed

Good evening @sussex_police . There is widespread dismay that the incident involving fox hounds at
@CeliaHammond Greenacres Sanctuary doesn’t seem to have been properly prioritised in terms of law enforcement .
Are you able to provide any clarity ?
How can this cruel anarchic shambles be legal ? It beggars belief .
The only ‘good’ news here is that this is another nail in the coffin of this national disgrace .
Dogs attacking farm stock is an intolerable and serious issue (see below) . But if our pets can’t run amok
in the countryside how is it that foxhounds can rampage through an animal sanctuary
and @sussex_police have to wait for a complaint ?
Just look at this from blood junky Bonner in response to Chris's tweets. What a morally bankrupt *******!

Good evening @sussex_police there is widespread derision of @ChrisGPackham's absurd & ignorant insinuations.
Please don't waste taxpayers money responding to him
Apparently 12 cats are still missing Oh two more have returned - 10 missing still.
I've been following this on twitter, and it's truly awful!
It isn't about keeping the ban, it's enforcing it, which the police don't seem to be doing. It's complete bullsh!T about the fake scent thing, it's obvious the hunters are completely disregarding the law.
I am glad the police are treating this more seriously than previously, but I suspect it's all down to public pressure.
Above all, I hope all the poor cats are returned safe and well. Poor things. x
Oh that is terrible. How do they get away with it?
Those poor cats, I hope they're all found safe
It does seem like one rule for them.... Hope something is done about it! You can't have a bunch of out of control dogs running over someone's sanctuary, no matter where they're from!
Horrible! hope all the cats return safely and none got caught by the hounds . Its bloody ridiculous that hunts get away with allowing a massive pack of foxhounds run amok like this
I read yesterday that 10 cats are still missing.
Liked for the two - everything crossed for the 10
Oh no I hope they are just a bit lost and not what I'm thinking. Fingers crossed for them
I wondered that too. Hopefully they are just scared and will come home when they are really hungry.
