Hi. My rescue cat escaped from my house a week ago and has suddenly appeared in the quiet street where I live. I’d only had him a few hours before he got out and doesn’t regard me as his owner/pet. I’ve tried using all the advised methods of getting him in a cat carrier to no avail. What I haven’t tried is a cat trap. Does anyone know of someone in Surrey/south London area who could lend or hire one out to me? Thanks

Do you have a local Cats Protection you can ask? Or a vets?

I tried getting Cats Protection and left them a voicemail this morning - no reply. I phoned the vets and they said no

This is the number for Cats Protection rehoming centre in Mitcham - 03000 129 285
I know that they definitely have traps and am pretty sure that they would be prepared to let you 'borrow' one (not sure if they make a small charge though).

When you do get hold of a trap remember to bait it with something really smelly, like sardines or tuna.
