    Hi

My poor bunny has cataract in both eyes and can't see very well poor love.... but she's happy enough so we've decided not to go ahead with the operation cause it's a lot to put her thru when she's otherwise so happy.
The 1st eye has been bad for over a year now but the 2nd eye has only got bad this last month or so.

Lately tho we've noticed she's developed a slight head tilt...I have my own theories on what this could be but just wondering what anyone else here would think it could be and if anyone's had simular experences?

    thanks :)

could she have suffered a stroke or something?? either that or there could just be a bit too much wax in one ear and not the other.

yes we did think of that too but our hamster had head tilt due to a stroke and he wasn't at all well after a stroke. I presume she'd have other symptoms if she'd had a stroke. she is perfectly her normal happy self. When she's ill she's a baby normally and we can tell instantly. Im surprised she's taking these cataracts so well...suppose it came on gradually tho and she's got used to them.

They can test negative, and then test positive at a later date. Id have another bloodtest just to be sure.

    Could be vestibular syndrome.

Well I was hoping people would agree with me and I think it's possibly she's tilting her head to see better as one eye is worse that the other and the other only getting bad last few months......

i should take her to vets....
