My cat has been attacking her intruder in the mirror for 2 weeks. Have covered all mirrors & reflective surfaces. Have tried soothing talk, catnip...... any ideas?

Awww poor love! How old is she? If she's only a kitten she will soon realise it's her own reflection.

I was just about to ask the same? Has your girl just recently started doing it?

8 yrs! Neither of mine have ever done that. At any age. Poor love. I echo the above and ask if it's out of character?

I wasn't wondering whether the mirror has always been there and she's only just started, or whether the mirror is new and she's doing it because if that.

If the former, then see the vet to see what's going on. If the latter, my cat has never been phased by the mirror, but I would monitor and see how it goes.

Thanks, She has just started this & it is every, reflective surface. A tiny glimpse in the backsplash tile, will trigger it. I believe she has become consumed by the search for this "intruder".
