hello, im new ere, trying to investigate cat behavior as ... i donno why really!

anyway, the cat in question often sits on the bed on his front with his tail out in a straight line and claws with both front feet one then the other, and his tail twitches a bit,

    why do they do this??

cats we had back when i was a kid did it to so guessing its pretty normal!

Its a sign of affection. A little like marking the area to say it belongs to him / her.
My cats do it when they sitting on my knee and on the bed too. Nothing to worry about :D

if you watch a kitten feeding from their mum they knead when they are suckling to help the milk flow, if a cat does this when they are older it is beleived its because they feel as safe and loved as when with their mum :D he is obviously a very much loved kitty;)

It is "kneading". older cats do this to get comfortable and when they are content :) sounds like you have a very happy cat :D

ok its a rubbish pic but was taken on my phone (in the dark) the day before i asked why they need on here....

can kinda see his ears being back, an kinda has an evil look in his eyes sometimes they go big an dark, an also can just make out his rear legs he kinda lifts his arse off the surface an his tail goes up a bit and then down an flows off where ever it is sitting....

    crazy cat :)

il get a better pic next time i get a chance!!

here i got a slightly better pic!

hes a family cat, but everybody says that he loves me more than them cause i give him loads of attention, tho have to say i do wind him up sometimes but still dont think he minds to much, plus i usually come off worse!
